Job Title: SymptoPro Director

Position Status:  .5 FTE hourly, non-exempt

The Position

You will serve as the primary spokesperson, coordinator and supervisor for all SymptoPro activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a spokesperson and representative for the SymptoPro Fertility Education program.
  • Create and maintain positive, professional relationships with program partners, (arch)dioceses and other professionals who use SymptoPro services.
  • Supervise all SymptoPro online staff instructors and contract employees as well as the Instructor Trainer.
  • Serve as a liaison to non-diocesan partners and contacts.
  • Assist in the production of monthly or quarterly publications such as the Instructor Update, e-newsletter.
  • Ensure the coordination and completion of projects related to program development, as well as keeping relevant course material up to date such as the Provider Guide, client course, teacher training and other information materials.
  • Assist in the creation of any new digital products and product improvements as well as the maintenance and development of the SymptoPro.org website, online classrooms and e-commerce platforms.
  • Oversee the implementation of a proactive presence on social media platforms and blogs as well as promote the online programs globally.
  • Other duties as required.

General Responsibilities

  • Follow the protocol, policies, and procedures of the department and agency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on a consistent basis.
  • Complete and submit reports as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provide culturally responsive services that are equitable, respectful, and relevant to people from a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds and orientations.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings as required.
  • Regularly participate in professional development.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the SymptoPro Instructor Training program.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals and couples.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong commitment to the SymptoPro Education Program Principles on human sexuality, marital love, respect for life, and ability to communicate the principles in both secular and religiously minded communities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with adults in community education programs in the sensitive area of sexuality.
  • Able to speak in front of large and small groups.
  • Able to build and maintain rapport with youth and adults from diverse backgrounds and personalities.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to meet consistent attendance.
  • Able to consistently enter data accurately.
  • Have effective and flexible communications skills.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face, online and on the phone.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Skills to use a personal computer and various software packages.

Working Conditions

  • Work performed in an office may require extended periods of computer and phone usage.
  • Bend, climb, reach, and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Data entry for moderate periods of time.
  • Sit and/or stand for moderate periods of time.
  • Able to effectively communicate and exchange information.
  • May be required to work flexible or non-standard work hours including weekends. 
  • This position is 100% remote.
